Integrating her talent as an Architect and Figure Artist, Alison Poland exhibits her innate ability to bring to life our structural surroundings. Alison uses a colorful combination of charcoal and paint to dramatize and accentuate rudimentary details that would go unnoticed without her artistic attention and unique perspective on life.
In addition to her education as an architect and an artist at the University of Maryland, Alison has instructed at The Corcoran College of Art and Design, participated in the 9/11 memorial competition, and mentors inspiring artists throughout the DC area. Her work has been published through several organizations including: The Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Smithsonian, MD Public TV, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Alison currently works for Actus Lend Lease and is active in ULI (Urban Land Institute), AIA (American Institute of Architects), and USGBC (US Green Building Council).
